It was my birthday 2 days ago! The big 2-2. Needless to say, it went by much more quickly than anticipated. For the first time in probably 10 years, I did NOT have a fancy birthday dress, no birthday party, no birthday cakes, and no birthday candles, or anything of that birthday matter. Instead, I enjoyed the Georgia sun with my best friend Landon, sipped on too many allagash whites, and witnessed the best girl fight I have ever seen (purses were thrown). Anyway, I took many birthday adventures daydreaming in lace dresses looking quite similar to these images of a beautiful 1970 Czech film Valerie and her Week of Wonders.

And while I was without a dress, I did get the most wonderful birthday gifts: A beautiful 35 mm camera from my boyfriend along with a ticket to see Autolux in August; three gorgeous handmade handkerchiefs from my grandma Moni, and a beautifully ornate jewelry box from my best friend Liz. I’ll post some pictures later.
